Rhan is a lovingly restored Gozitan farmhouse with original features including a spiral stone staircase. The house has been beautifully furnished to a high standard and is located down a quiet lane with only a few other properties nearby. Parking is on the lane outside. External stone stairs lead from the courtyard to an open terrace with a tranquil feel and stunning views out over the sea and the countryside. This terrace can also be accessed from the interior.
Double doors lead from the entrance passageway into a partly open plan living area and kitchen/dining room, with a relaxed and comfortable feel. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher. It also has a wood burning stove. There is a shower room with wc on this floor. Patio doors lead out to the courtyard pool area, with built in bbq and outside shower.
A stone spiral staircase leads up to the first floor and three double bedrooms, one being en suite. There is also a separate bath/shower room. There is plenty of room for a cot, which can be provided on request.
The house has air conditioning, for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
The house is located on the edge of the charming villages of San Lawrenz and Gharb. Close by there is a supermarket, a pharmacy, shops and several restaurants. A short distance away is the fabulous church of ta Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors have included St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts of the Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.
