Stocks is a light and airy traditional Gozitan property spread over one floor. From the front, double doors open onto an arched hallway that leads into a large open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. There are three en suite bedrooms and also a separate cloakroom. The bedrooms are large and could easily accommodate a foldaway bed and/or a cot, if required. Stocks is accessed via steps up from the road into a secluded complex of just three houses.
There is a pool and patio area to the front, with a delightful covered porch. To the rear is another terrace with table and chairs and a large built in bbq. From here there are lovely views across the fields, to the sea. There is also a stone staircase leading up to the roof space.
The house has fans and, air conditioning in the bedrooms, for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
Stocks is located on the outskirts of the charming village of Ghasri, which has restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and a distinctive red domed church. A short distance away is the fabulous church of ta Pinu that, since the rumour started in 1883 of our Lady of Ta ‘Pinu talking to a local, has been a pilgrim destination for many. Visitors include St John Paul 11 and Pope Benedict XV1. The Inland sea and spectacular blue hole are a short drive from here as is the local craft village. The capital of Victoria is a ten minute drive away and a visit to the ramparts of the Citadel to see 360 views of the Island is a must.
